Treasure hunt at an antique market on the other side of the world, and found this exquisite hand-beaded pearl color top. When I saw it was “Made in Hong Kong”, I felt inexplicably moved. This is a beautiful relic from the history of Hong Kong’s garment industry.
The label on the clothes indicates that they were made in the 1950s. Since it has been kept for a long time (74 years ago), some parts of this piece has to be repaired. But take a closer look at the beads-curtain details on the collar, omg how beautiful they are. It’s worth taking a little time & effort to repair it for ever longer keeping.
